Hi, new to this site.
I was wondering if anyone has had an expereince as listed below, and found a resloution to this.
- Freshly rebuilt 406
- Less than 500KM's on motor - no issues, motor ran strong.
- Car in accident - No external visible damage to motor. Rad was damaged in accident and leaked. Car towed to owners home.
- Car/motor sat for 2 weeks- then started and driven across the road to new location and put up on ramps. No issues, motor started ran fine.Motor ran for 3- 5 minutes
- Car/motor sits for 2 more weeks (mid August)
- Now, Motor will not start - turns over slowly with good battery and existing starter All electrical connections re-checked, positive cable, and ground re-connected. Lots of fuel, no carb issues.
- New starter put in - starter engages but will only turn over motor slowly
- 6 of 8 spark plugs removed to relieve compression. Plugs wet and show motor running rich. Motor cranks over a few times, quicker than before then stops.
