Greetings:
My first post in two years. I've been busy.
I'm looking to purchase a 62 Corvette in Number 2 condition. It is non-matching numbers. It has a 350 bored out engine, original four speed ( but beefed up driveline), original honduras maroon color, and only 32,000 miles. From an estate sale. The previous owner raced it hence the changed engine. Has a mallory HEI ignition, battery is in trunk, original transmission but beefed up drive line.
The only thing I don't like, which is not a big deal, is that the previous owner re-upholstered the Vette in that old school tuck and role upholstery (which is also in pristine condition). Has beefed up radiator and mag style wheels (aka = 63 corvette). Cornvertible top is white.
My question is how much does this Vette depreciate in value if it is a non-numbers matching vehicle ? Unlike a 57 Chevy, I've read that Corvette owners like to have numbers matching
vettes.
The price is excellent and the seller is an old friend so reputable.
Thoughts and comments ?
Thanks,
KenMcDee
