thanks doug ,thats funny that the first person to answer me lives right around the corner from where i was born (New Britain Conn.) and lived till i was 16 years old and became a gearhead, but then transferd to italy.after 25 years of getting my act together i bought my camaro rs and restored the car from top to bottom.the most important thing i changed is the motor, it originaly had a 305 but know has a 383.now im working on the rearend.i cant be an american in italy making one legger burnouts.here in italy its very hard to find parts and people to work on american cars..
thanks ron

Easier to just get the other rear end! Cheaper to buy a new Posi spool and install it, but it takes some skill and patience to do!

I was thinking of transfering my 10 bolt in my 62 impala also, hard to swap it out without having to weld new mounts for the x frame

Can I just get the posi kit & not rebuild it with a bearing kit and put new gears ?
