Always interested.....
Hi, Im phil and Im a cheveloholic.. My first chevelle was a " new" 1970 ls6 m22 411s red w/ black stripes.. Kept it for two plus years and like most guys arround my age back then, let it go.. Well ever since I wanted to get another.. Turn to 1987, kids and family and home somewhat in order...I got a 70 chevelle clone and have been working on it since.. It has a 454 40 over,450 dynoed to the rear torque, and with 433 rear wheel hp.. pretty sedate. has an m22 4 speed with 355 gears.. its dark green metallic with white stripes and have recently been redoing the interior in white.. older paint, laquer, straight but needs a repaint.. Has to be taken down to bare metal.. Will repaint when the money is there but all else is fresh, just had the 781s worked. car runs sweet and easy.. By no means is it a monster.. well I have three boys 13,18,and 24...all gear heads.. I will try posting some photos.... phil

Good to hear you never gave up on your dream car Welcome to the site, if you haven't been over to Chevelles.com check them out, link is on the main page. Looking forward to pictures, I too sold a 70 4 speed car many years ago, just one of many I should have kept.

I always loved the 68 Chevelles. I found a picture of me the other day, ...I must've been about 10 or 12 at the time. I'm wearing a 68 Chevelle t-shirt in the pic!
For one reason or another I never could lay my hands on a 68, I had 5 69's, just not the one I really wanted. I finally got one 20+ years later. It's in the works right now and if all goes well, will be done by the spring. I know how it is to regret selling the car you love, too. 'Way to hold on to the dream! |
